Camping at Meadow Creek Lake

As I said in my previous post the Garrett's went camping July 17th through the 19th with Grandma and Grandpa Pickering and Danyel. We all had a really good time. I was really nervous about taking Connor camping but he did better than I expected him to and I had high hopes. It was about an hour away from Meeker, CO up this mountain, we were at about 9500 feet. It has been so hot I didn't expect to get cold and I only took a light sweater jacket. It was cool and got fairly cold at night. Fortunately I did over pack for Connor and he had some warm things to wear. The only bad parts were the mosquitoes and it rained both nights. The second night it rained a lot and the tent broke on the side my parents were on and they both got wet then didn't sleep very well the rest of the night. We just got a new 4-wheeler and my Dad brought one of theirs so we had a really good time riding around and saw a bunch of wild animals. It was also way fun to spend time with my parents whom we don't get to see much. I know Connor had a good time with Grandma and Grandpa.

I would go back there in a second. The last collage right above this was taken by this old cow corral that had been over taken with wild flowers. I really wanted to take family pictures but we all didn't really look at our best and when I say that I mean I didn't look very good. It was really beautiful and a perfect spot for pictures. I was a little disappointed, I have been so obsessed with taking pictures since I had Connor.
